And Fresno, California has the highest total electricity costs in the U.S. (rates times usage) [0] [1]

@dang - can we just change the title to "Germany Has..."

It's also not that surprising. They have been substantially dependent on oil and import 63% of their energy requirements. A significant fraction is Russian, which is now tarrifed/embargoed etc.

As for the UK (second), we decided to baseline our electricity pricing on the most expensive option. Good for energy producers, bad for consumers.
