I don't like the latest trends at Mozilla at all. I used to use Firefox for privacy. It was small and fast and stable. I don't want to disable all the bloatware like share, sync, Mozilla account, tab ads, pocket, chats whatever. Mozilla is on a big sellout trip. When Mozilla is not different to Google we can equally use Chrome - it's better anyway.
They bundele it because they get payed for it. Same story with the new suggested site advertising. The alarming thing is that this way Mozilla is loosing it's independency.
Blame methods not tools! This has nothing to do with PowerPoint. This is about bad or wrong methods of presenting ideas or concepts. Methods are how something is done, e.g. graphically by a diagram or textual in short form or by speech. PowerPoint is just a tool. You can use the wrong method of presenting an idea (e.g. graphically) with a different tool (e.g. a sheet of paper and a pen) as well.
I find the second part of the post especially interesting. Money makes the world go round. Mozilla as we all isn't immnune to this. The problem however is the huge amount of control the handfull of big global players have gained and still gain. Small local businesses have no chance. Top pick at Google wins. Trend scouting and more importantly trend creation get's customers. Advertising works through our unconcious mind. We can't decide to ignore ads, they will influence us. Also, Mozilla will or if the deals are signed has already lost it's independence irreversibly.

This is serious. My browsing history is private. I neither want Google nor Mozilla to sell it to companies which in turn use it to control markets and make me pay more for products. I can't prevent all the stuff Google is doing, but I can prevent Mozilla from accessing my private data.
Well, goodby Firefox, it's been a pleasure for the last 10+ years.
