Thanks, very interesting!

Why do I need to sign up? The "You are just a few clicks away from..." shows me that you don't have my best interests in mind. Please let me pick three books, provide a recommendation and then offer me to create an account.

Now I'm going to close my browser, get some sleep and completely forget about your supposedly awesome book recommendations.

Thanks, this is an interesting idea. I actually need more than 3 books to generate useful recommendations...more like 20 ratings. The other problem is that this is still beta stage and the algorithm to create your book list is very computionally intensive. It takes days not seconds to compute everybody's recommendations. The choice is between good recommendations delivered after waiting, or not that great recommendations delivered instantly.

Preinstalled McAfee crapware, what did you expect? I understand manufacturers get some money for putting that shit on the computer before they sell it, but it really diminishes the value of their product.

Agreed, and it's not coding, it's not creative. This will be the most boring event ever.

Thus article states that the NSA will get the information anyway. Even if this is true it may be a good thing to choose a search engine that makes a point of at least not tracking you itself. Sadly Google has much better search results...

The tree looks cool. If this catches on I might finally buy a 3d monitor just to browse the web ;)

It really does look cool. I could really imagine that this would catch on. It's gimmickry, but unlike almost any other 3D effect on a webpage, it's not annoying.

If you can't find any cities how are you going to evaluate the rest of the features? I'm not going to play "guess the city".

It's best practice to immediately lock someone out from all accounts if they are leaving on bad terms. You don't want them to be sending nasty emails to customers or to delete company data. It almost never happens but sometimes someone snaps and creates a big mess.

You should come and maybe bring something nice for the people you enjoyed working with. Make sure you have a talk with the project managers boss and tell him why you are leaving. Furthermore you should act professional so don't involve your colleagues. It's nasty but it's between you, him and his boss. Your colleagues will figure it out anyway.

Best of luck finding a new job!

Great product!

That doesn't sound very nice...

Wow. The rocket exploded about 3 km from the guy filming it (from the speed of sound). It could have landed on his head...

The Proton is fueled with Nitrogen Tetroxide and a variant of Hydrazine (UDMH). Both are incredible toxic and hazardous to humans, causing death with disturbingly small doses. UDMH is also a potent carcinogen.

Hopefully these folks were on the road and miles away before those fumes drifted their way.
