So...what are you trying to say here? That if you don't feel comfortable with a browser, you are the issue? That if you have different use-cases and behavior, you are the issue? Each browser has different look and feel and is unique in its own way, even if some differences are tiny.

And, yeah, if Mozzila likes dropping numbers, nothing has to change.

"Marketing is hard"...yeah, that's why marketing people exist. You cannot do everything yourself, especially if you are entering a new territory (knowledge-wise).

"I don't have it, so nobody will have it"

Eeehhh...wireless is a usual thing in the music industry, just not via Bluetooth.

In my country, it's required by law for every employee to have a certificate even for plugging in a toaster. The training is easy though and serves mostly to prevent injuries.

What does the training cover?

"Do not rest your tongue on the plug as you insert it into the wall."

I get that electricity is dangerous, but are there really functioning adults hired by a company that can't be trusted to plug in a simple appliance without a safety briefing first? It seems insulting to their intelligence. Or do they make everybody do this so the one or two absolute morons don't feel bad about being forced to take the "completely basic life skills" course before they're allowed to function at even a very low adult level?

What do they teach you not to do?

Question ever-expanding bureaucracy?

Man, Haiku grew a lot since I tried to use it last time! Neat!

QT wasn't so bad as far as I remember.

But as jolmg pointed out, some projects are just simple readme and that is more than enough. Love those. But the total opposite is also common, a wall of text that is meaningless and in the end, you have to go through the source code to get some answers...

Qt had amazing documentation around Qt 4.5. It's still really well-written—especially the old stuff—but their biggest problem is that they're awful at maintaining websites. The expected lifespan of a link to a page in their documentation is about two years.

Oh, wow, another advertisement. I don't know why, but that instantly disregards any meaningful point OP wanted to say...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem

> Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.

Not applicable as a fallacy here, questioning the style and the motive is reasonable with tech blog post mixed with advertising.

I might have added "for me" at the very end, so it would not sound general and was only describing my personal vibe. If this was a very interesting article about the importance of hydration and was full of references to coca cola products, I would feel the same.

That way still exists, so not really "old way".

"No, you’re the kind of shit that enjoys arguing with people, rather than empathising with them."

Oh my, the article describes itself.

Now, there is one angry person :)

I stopped reading the article after 10 lines. I'm not easily offended, but when reading an opinion that has the F-word every line, it's just a turn-off.
