Spent some time in an apartment with shady WiFi, dropped connections and frequent disconnects.

I built a macOS menubar app that just... pings: https://github.com/attheodo/Pingu

I managed to tell my dad how good of a father he was to me and how much I appreciated everything he gave me and taught me... one day before he passed away. An honest deposit like this isn't as easy as it sounds.

I'm really happy you did. I hadn't had this chance with mine, suddenly died from a stroke on his way to work. I really, really hope that he had the time, in that very fraction of a second, to realize how great he was. And speaking of "things you're proud of", I really wish time stopped for one more fraction of a second that day to give him the chance to look back and feel proud of what he did, one last time.

Agreed, kudos.

Excellent.

UI looks promising but unfortunately performance was sluggish. Will have it under my radar for future, for now sticking to pgcommander.

I just received a few complaints about its performance for displaying large tables. I'm working on a fix.

Performance for everything under Yosemite is terrible for me. I won't upgrade my main work-mac until I'm convinced they've gotten Yosemite more stable and better performing.

This looks like a promising tool, but its limit platform support kills it for me, for now.

I'd never heard of pgcommander, thanks!

Don't think too far. Find a problem of your own, your family or friends and try to solve it. Best chance is that if you have it, someone else might have it too.

perfect attempt to steal 0day spl0its :P

Thanks!

You paid over $4k for a logo and you don't know what to do with $3k? Oh boy.. I'd say spend them all on a bullish equity and get a good ol' day job

Is it only me or this sounds like a terrible idea? Maybe it will eventually be more productive but during the transition phase, there'll be mayhem. Not to mention all the unusable clocks, hardware etc that'll have to be completely scraped.

Hardware is actually easy - you can keep the clock in UTC and display the time in SUT.
