I see this claim made all over the place in the media, and never made with evidence.

Took me about 12 seconds in google to find a reputable source[1].

They've refreshed the 3 or Y (I'm not sure which) to look more like the Cybertruck. They look awful.

Correct on the idea maybe, but their implementation schemes are designed to disenfranchise those less likely to vote for them.

I don't believe that. Even in the most backward places where people can barely read they can manage to get an ID. If anything, it would have a leveling effect, by decoupling the voter id from things like driving, which have nothing to do with voting.

You are not correct. See the links in this comment: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42116609

I heard this concern and looking at the MAGA it is totally believable. But really, how can a country disenfranchise anyone, if they will issue a mandatory national ID? If it is not national (state or lower) or if it not mandatory (voluntary and/or paid for), then I can see parth for corruption. But if it is mandatory national document, issued to every citizen without exception and only to citizens, then I honestly don't see where the corruption may happen. If anything, USA SSNs are much bigger vector of corruption, a proven vector of corruption, but again, like with FPTP no one bats the eye.

Maybe they get to pull a pension too? There's lots of examples of Admirals and Generals who "retire", get their pension payouts, but come back as an "advisor" effectively doubling their pay.

What is 0.1 + 0.2 in JavaScript. I'll give you a hint, it's not 0.3. Is that fine?

That's not a JavaScript issue. It's the same for almost any language where you don't use some bignum type/library. This is something all developers should be extremely aware of.

To answer your question directly - yes, it’s fine, it’s actually expected behavior.

Did he get this math from Ron Vara?

It could actually make some sense - if Walmart spent their spare cash importing Chinese stuff before the tariffs rather than spending it on American stuff, I think that would have the effect of lowering GDP or domestic product. Presumably next month they'd stock up on American stuff which would cause a bounceback in the figures.

Unfortunately there's more nuance, as some materials to produce American stuff can't be sourced domestically or imported affordably.

Realistically we'll see a few giants pivot to less quality materials, many large and medium size businesses reduce their offerings, and a large amount of small businesses dissolving or filling for bankruptcy after not being able to weather the abrupt, completely voluntary supply chain disruptions across various industries.

Domestic investment spending, including retail inventory, was up quite a bit, so that seems unlikely.

What dropped like a rock was consumer spending growth.

Some people with a PhD can be the complete opposite of "advanced".

An on shore competitor to JLCPCB would be amazing. I assume most of the work is automated as well.

You might as well watch the entire process of how JLCPCB works and then tell me if all of that can be "automated": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljOoGyCso8s

That video is amazing. Thanks!

They did cancel some primaries in 2019 to protect Trump or at least his feelings.

That's different since generally you don't need a primary when your party is running for re election.

Those are great prices. In the US we are at least double that for an equivalent system. Many solar installers/sellers here are very predatory and have been for a long time. Prices have dropped, but not by enough for it to be worth it for me.
