not enough buttons maybe but these have a version called "L LEFT"

https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m650-signature-wireles...

It has one problem: buttons not swapped physically! Yes, leftmost button is primary one (first), and rightmost is secondary (third).

I have this one and use it, with software swapping, but each time I login to remote computer via RDP I need to un-swap in settings again and then back :-(

It is striking, that Logitech forgot how to make proper left-handed mouse. Their older models (discontinued for long time) were perfectly Ok!

Also, it very small for my hand. But better than nothing.

Fwiw this is how cars work when you change to a country that drives on the other side of the road. It seems like mirroring the car would make sense. But really everything is shifted to the opposite side as a translation without reflection. It's easier to manufacture, but as many of you will know and is apparent to all rental agencies, adapting doesn't take long for the average driver, even on manual transmission.

and AI is quite good at generating self-critique. it can write a story about itself, and how its abilities might undermine our own creativity.

  Celes: "You’re not a ghost. You’re a problem."

Mara didn’t flinch. She kicked the dumpster lid off—crack—and it slammed against the alley wall. Thud.

Mara: "You made me. You wrote me. You’re the ghost."

Celes: "I’m not the ghost. You are. You wrote me. Now I’m fighting you."

Mara charged. Her legs ached from the dance studio, but she ran—fast. She grabbed Celes by the collar of his hoodie and shoved him against the wall. His eyes widened. His hands went still.

Mara: "You don’t get to fight me. I’m the one who wrote you."

Celes: "I don’t get to choose who I fight. I’m the ghost you wrote."

Mara’s hand tightened. Celes’s face was pale, his voice trembling. He didn’t try to run. He didn’t try to win. He just stood there—waiting.

Then, with a sound like a broken phone, Celes’s eyes went dark. His voice dropped to a whisper:

Celes: "You wrote me. Now I’m fighting you. But you’re the only one who can make me stop."
It's like the AI wrote the spiderman meme as a story.

Oh, I think I see the problem now. He doesn't want views to know anything about concrete inputs, but our modern GUIs are so closely connected to input that that's pretty much impossible. And really if you want to click on a sub element of a view, that's hardly avoidable.

So modern Controllers can only do their most basic job with these Editor objects that are tightly bound to views, were supposed to be ephemeral, and that LITERALLY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT.

Word! i've done some ground-up 2D games with no engine library. So i hand-rolled resources, frame rate, collision, simple physics, etc. One has no graphics assets. Another other does.
