Nice idea, applied for it. I am 2 weeks away from launching so excited to see this version. I think it is really a good idea because it does provide a venue for startups to help each other. The other day I attended a Tie roundtable at CMU and the feedback and advise experienced people were giving was really good.

Can you shed some light on what percentage of the company do the investors own now? How did you or they did the valuation?

I see the funding numbers everywhere but rarely see how much equity was given away in the transaction.

Most people are pretty close to the vest with founder dilution numbers. It also tends to be complicated and hard to sum up. Convertible note or priced round? If it's a note, is there a cap, a discount, warrants? Participating preferred shares or no? Liquidation prefs?

For a $400k seed round, it'll usually be a convertible note-- nowadays usually with a cap (reading: http://startuplawyer.com/convertible-notes/the-convertible-n...).

Why don't you form some tie up with amitgupta's website. It has received so much publicity for the cause so all that effort don't go waste.

Joel, why don't you and other Internet personalities start something and we all will join. Setup a website, get donation from every developer, hire lobbyists or whatever is needed. You and people you know have the reach and get things in motion. We will follow the lead.

But again think about why the human has become so dependent on external stimulus for being constantly entertained.

For e.g My kid wants constant attention or entertained.

He either wants me to play with him all day Or Watch TV continuously OR Play video games

Finding other ways of getting entertained in order to kill hollywood is not the sane idea. The root of the problem is becoming more dependent on external medium for entertainent
