Plover Parametrics is a seed-stage company helping the insurance industry adapt to climate change. We do this by helping insurance companies structure and price products for natural disasters like wildfire and hurricanes. The products that we help bring to market allow insurance companies and their customers to be more climate resilient.
We are looking for an experienced software engineer to expand the platform with which new kinds of insurance products get developed, sold, monitored, and triggered. Our application stack is NextJS / Node / SQL and fed by a data science stack of Python / Pandas / NumPy. We use petabyte scale satellite and disaster data to feed performant geocentric applications that allow insurers to understand and measure risks in ways they never could before.
