A British source? I distinctly recall American sources like the New York times & NPR acting as court stenographers during the period. I can still hear Bob Edwards' voice talking about the pending Iraq War as though it were the most sensible thing in the world and there being absolutely no criticism of its justifications.
The slaughter McClellan was concerned about, and the source of his timidity, was that of his own men. That Grant & Meade had no such compunction is precisely why Lincoln turned to them. The Union victory then became a simple matter of attrition and its willingness to bleed.
How do such tactics differ from the Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, and MSNBC? Are those operations not journalists? Assange is in a cage because, after being cleared of any wrongdoing vis-a-vis the sexual assault complaints, a "special prosecutor" decided she had to speak to him in person, i.e. get him in a venue subject to U.S. extradition.
Everything you just said is completely irrelevant to Assange's credibility as a journalist. Just because he's a martyr doesn't mean he's a good, ethical, or honest person.
That's good advice, especially pools. Pools are sneakily dangerous and homeowners generally can't afford good security. (Not to mention the wastefulness of the expense of a private home pool.) Although some basic precautions (100% gate around pool) are underutilized but go a long way.
She went to her brother's place. It was his hunting rifle. Do you comment on stories about Nikki Catsouras that her family should not have owned a Porsche? Or a car at all?
If you're curious like me and wanted to know what happened to Nikki Catsouras, skip it. There are some _extremely_ gruesome images that come up when you search for the incident.
