Gold? Gems? Cartel victims? Or... a 'boatload of cash'?!

We'll never know now will we?

Prediction: Pi-hole gets a double entendre and becomes more useful than ever.

reminds me of the book "ready player one" in which world-builders would insert terrible smells to troll the minority of VR players with a smell-o-vision device

Only a review of your dossier by the House Un-American Activities Committee† can verify you have not demonstrated any subversive behavior, citizen.

Does Crater Lake have any visiting ducks? If so, then there were probably fish in the lake at various points as some fish eggs are known to survive the trip through a duck's digestive system.[0]

So then you're undoubtedly aware the executed are just lowly mules and nobody of any significance was/is turned into fish food.

If they have the cooperation/encouragement of their government, how is this any different from a military attack? How should we respond to a military attack? Should we try to arrest and prosecute the attackers? If we adopt that attitude, we may just as well eliminate our entire military. What do you suppose would happen then?

The state has an incentive to encourage callers to wait for trained emergency drivers. Nobody wants mom in a panic and flying through red lights at the intersections. Or worse, my former teacher drove himself to the ER while in the midst of a heart attack rather than wait for an ambulance. He didn't survive the attack but made it to the hospital without incident.

edit, to add this old gem: "I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car."

In the age of drone warfare, does Britain even need a lot of young men? The half-life of a grunt seems pretty short in eastern Ukraine at the moment.

Looking at the power output graph in the article, would there be a worthwhile efficiency gain to an undulating rooftop array? Instead of a single power peak at midday, perhaps a double peak in the morning and afternoon?

Something like this, but not so pronounced: /\/\/\/\

Before the discovery of antibiotics, chopping it off was the usual standard of care for serious infections.

It didn't always have to turn into an infection as there are plenty folk methods of preventing that from happening used throughout history - from wound cauterisation to my regional bread + spiderwebs.

The latter was given a scientific explanation in modern times: the webbing contains live penicillium fungi in quantities sufficient to act against microbes.

It's very rare for a minor injury to become seriously infected to the extent that the patient's immune system can't fight it off. Even before the discovery of antibiotics, amputation was typically only used as a salvage therapy in cases of gangrene. They didn't reach for the bone saw just because you had a serious infection.

IIUC, Akio Toyoda loves him some hydrogen and was/is reluctant to give up the dream for this battery nonsense.†
