PAL had interlacing

For anyone this deep on the thread, check out this video (great presenter!) explaining TV spectrum allocation, NTSC, PAL, and the origin of 29.97 fps.

TIL NTSC: He explained that NTSC stands for Not The Smartest Choice, but I always assumed it meant Never The Same Color.

Memories shattered. Yeah, you're right and I would have watched interlaced broadcast content.

I saw interlaced NTSC video in the digital days where the combing was much more obvious and always assumed it was only an NTSC thing!

This is about the overground though..

The overground is nice because it is more comfortable than the underground. But it's newer, and as I said the newer underground lines offer a somewhat similar experience.

While I think all overgorund trains have AC installed, this summer a lot of them either ran too low or not running at all, this is for Windrush line

libcurl?

Not even that

I’ve lived in 4 different flats in the Barbican and they all had a dishwasher. I think only the studios you’d have a problem finding space for one. Of course in the others it is a preference whether you want to lose space for other things or not. It is not a lot of extra plumbing. It is usually when they want to preserve the original kitchen (or a cheap landlord as you suggest - although all the ones I had there were great)

That’s on the cheap end of zone 1 London for service charges, especially anything with a porter and gardeners. If you were buying now you’d renew the lease for about £20k, which is a tiny fraction of the purchase price you’d be paying. (Source: did it in 2022)

It also depends where you are in the Barbican. It spans between the Barbican station and Moorgate. If you are at the latter you can enter Elizabeth line from there too.

If you hover over the line to the right of Blackfriars it says Waterloo and City, incorrectly.

Its a bit confusing as it only shows a single line for places that have multiple lines running on the same track

Trains in opposite directions overlap, which makes it very hard to see what's going on.

Also, trains disappear when they stop. Which is - uh - strange.

It's more pretty than practical. Trains marked with dots, arrows, or boxes would be far easier to read.

The trains themselves have different colours though, so it's not too bad.

Personally, I think the stations themselves are a bit too dark and hide any train that's at the station once the trail disappear. But overall, I think this visualisation is beautiful.

Yeah, no Lizzy line, for me at least.

The line is there, it's just hard to see. There are no trains on it though, as far as I can see.

It works for the first line, but doing it on a second seems to make it merge lines.

Yep. This was a bug. I just fixed it.
