"Never get in bed and try to sleep because “it’s bedtime”. Only get in bed when you are dying to go to bed"
This is one important thing I've learned. I try to read books until I feel sleepy and then go to bed.
If I brush my teeth (+ all other things in preparation such as locking the door, feeding the cats, etc) and go to bed, then read (without disturbing my partner) then I am ready to fall asleep as soon as I feel tired.
However, if I stay up without brushing my teeth (+ the other preps) then I cannot go to sleep right away when I'm tired. Because I still got errands to do.
When I read in the first situation I am already lying in bed horizontally. In the second situation I am sitting. Also, while you're reading, you should use an e-reader without much blue light.
Calling gold coin a true money is so funny, because it doesn't have inherent value by itself. It's only have value because people agreed to exchange things and services for it. Like a printed money. And if someone thinks gold coins didn't lost value over time...
I would love to see a visualisation of lane change waves. How people changes the lane on peak time. I always felt Elliott Wave Theory[1] is applicable to this.
I'm just curious to know the situation in countries like Russia and China, because many of my friends took their medical degree from those Countries. Is is just the education is cheaper or entire industry?
I am from India. I think one major cost factor is price of medicine. In India, you can get medicine at very low cost compared to the west. Salary and dollar conversion/PPP are also major cost factors.
For instance, a urine test costs $1-$1.5 in India, urine culture is about $6, a USG scan is about $14. In USA, urine routine is $30, culture is $70 and USG is $750
One thing that I've learned from my life is, never explain yourself to others when you start feeling depressed. Others may not completely understand you when its connected to your emotions.
