No problem, just sell their user data for a premium so they can be advertised too in other ways. Its worth squeezing this one in many extra ways since, as you said, they've signaled they are valuable targets.
Plus Meta can also change it to limited ads later and sell those for bigger money.
Depending on the ad system and your user tracking /fingerprinting setup, you can get that information and then track the user to other places on the internet and then show ads to them there.
There was a post on here where some one mentioned a lot of people just install bike racks to block the plate and said Amazon sells lots of plate hiding stuff. I'd definitely seen plastic covers that obviously made the plate very hard to read in the wild but I'd never really thought about using different kinds of luggage racks to obscure plates.
Of course, my state used a bunch of bad paint on license plates for a number of years so you could just peel off all the paint removing any contrast from a legit plate and you'd look no different than most people's unreadable plates anyway.
Microsoft actually used the disk encryption scheme by default in early versions of bitlocker. They had to backtrack because the disk encryption implementations were found to often not work at all!
I was sort of surprised to find that standard crypt-setup in linux actually supports opening true/veracrypt volumes. It doesn't support creating them as near as I can tell though.
You can jump through a lot of hoops and become a registererd IoT vendor. It's like playing the old Douglas Adams Infocom game Bureaucracy. Big endorphin rush when you finally get to the endgame.
Kind of unfortunate timing as I recently decided to make it a priority to upgrade a VM Windows 7 install this way. I actually started the process a week before the deadline but ran into a cryptic error I didn't have time to resolve.
> - Doctors in training usually want to work as much as possible to finish their training as fast as possible, especially if they want to work in surgery. For instance, if you train for "general surgery", you need to do about 25 appendectomies, about 35 cholecystectomies, and so on. So in a perverse way, you need a bit of "luck" that you are working while these cases come in. More time in the hospital simply increases your luck.
Sounds like a great way to incentivize tons of unnecessary surgeries as well.
Oh, you bet! Fortunately, it is not for the doctor in training to decide if these kind of surgeries are necessary. However, for smaller things in diagnostics, let's say a spinal tap or something like that, it is absolutely possible that on overeager doctor in training will do this unnecessarily, because I think they have a training quota for these as well. However, biggest risk for unnecessary surgery in Germany is still private health insurance...
The actually had Russian in the beta add-on version. I wonder if there is still a way to add it back. It was the most useful language, but I agree about Chinese.
