To be an utter pedant, that's quadratic not exponential growth :)


To be even more of an utter pedant, quadratic growth is exponential growth, where the exponent is 2.


Quadratic growth is f(n) = n^2. Exponential growth is f(n) = e^n, or 2^n, or 10^n, for example.


If the exponent isn't growing, it is not exponential growth.
