First and foremost, I'm a fan of John Gruber's writing and read DaringFireball regularly. That being said, having each and every one of his essays linked from HN smacks of karma-whoring. If you're into the kinds of things he writes about then you already know about DF.

The comment threads that result from DF submissions rarely lack in flaming or snark. The discussions often devolve into ad hominem attacks on Gruber, and don't seem to include anything insightful or edifying.
