Read their ideas of what India was and ought to be, and what it has become.

What was India and what has it become?

Indian Government at the present form is kind of an extension of British Raj. It's not far fetched idea to think in this term, because all the system set up by the British during British Raj is still there and no new change. Even the constitution is literally by and large Victorian Laws and still continue to be so with minor amendments.

If you consider the current system as status quo, and the elites in New Delhi, definitely benefit from it.

But I believe it is going to change. Mainly, due to the nationalists, of the Hindu kind. They want to bring in Indian ethos or so they say and that would probably mean the end of Democratic processes. It would be like Hindu version of Chinese Communist Party.

This all seems like fantastical ramblings that really don't mean anything. The Indian government is the British Raj and the Hindu nationalist CCP which will end democracy but democracy apparently already ended?

I propose an alternative hypothesis, that in fact what we're looking at here is a small minority of people who are full of hate and rage because democracy has not gone their way this time, and they are incapable of accepting that. And that not every ill that has befallen everybody in the country is because of some big conspiracy theory about the end of democracy or the government out to get them.

How is this relevant here?
