It is great that this exists, but it is also worth mentioning that if your site is powered by WordPress, you can install the ActivityPub extension and it will allow your blog to actually be followed and interact with the fediverse, similar to how you can follow Pixelfed and Peertube accounts from Mastodon and other platforms powered by ActivityPub.
One important difference is that you are creating a new account for your blog. This means that your current followers will not see the post, you will need to get them to subscribe to the second account. That can be a benefit or downside depending on your point of view.
This is pretty easy to automate, I've been doing it a while using pipedream.com. You just need to hit https://mastodon.example/api/v1/statuses with POST form body `access_token=SECRET&status=Your+message`
It is nice to have this integrated simply though.
One feature that my own script has is turning categories in the feed into hashtags and add #blog on the end. It isn't clear from the homepage if it supports anything like that.
