Senior/Lead Front end engineer here. The Front end position isn't listed on the career site any longer. Did you already find someone?

May I ask why you do not hire in Latin America?

Who says they don't?

Edit: never mind, just noticed it.

I applied for a frontend role with you last year, which I didn't get. Are you open to people reapplying?

Definitely!

You may not have one right now, but what does a role one level down from "Senior" look like?

We typically aren't hiring at that level for engineering roles. We prioritize senior positions (and above) because of our distributed, flat organizational structure.

If we did hire at that level, the pay is $160,333 USD + stock options.

One of the Senior Job Descriptions says: "Previous experience leading and mentoring experienced engineers, supporting their career goals, and unlocking their potential."

Who is the applicant supposed to be mentoring if everyone is senior?

Seniors can be mentored, too, and there are always ways to grow. A few examples: learning new languages/frameworks, applying AI, having more of a leader role, communicating more effectively, getting more involved in product, trunk first development, writing better tests, etc.

People shouldn't get the 'senior' title and just stop growing entirely (although it happens for some people)

This is the modern job market. Only hire people already hired and give them piles of money.

I guess they just want other companies to grow their talent :-\

Am I disqualified if I've never used Perl?

Whoever's downvoting this, I'm absolutely enamored with the amount of innocence and naivete it takes to make-believe this isn't a serious question. You're delicate and beautiful flowers. Never change, darlings.
