We've done point-of-care blood testing for a long time. The i-STAT from Abbott has been one of the gold standards for emergent testing requirements in emergency rooms and beyond.
One of the biggest issues with Theranos was that they were trying to do a multitude of tests with a small amount of blood in a single automated machine. This machine isn't claiming to do more than one thing.
Wow, I had thought TBI's could only be diagnosed on autopsy, but I guess that's CTE which is different. Does CTE mean lingering effects from TBI's? Can TBI's if treated early enough be prevented from leading to CTE?
