Can somebody explain to me how Debian with a popularity score of 2, and a stable distro date of 1996 is down low in the Ubuntu-Debian group?

Put simply: I do not understand the ranking mechanism and outcome. Is it Left to right within a colour group? Is it top to bottom? is it inverse rank * year of stability or some other mechanism to sort?
