May the pattern continue. They've been resting on their laurels for far too long, and the quality of their search results is abysmal because of it. Attempts at actually fighting AI generated content and respun SEO garbage are basically non-existent, and the chances of finding something outside of a few large websites are seemingly getting lower by the day.

Maybe some competition will actually inspire them to clean things up, and provide the kinds of search results people need.


Google will just likely follow Meta in laying off the underperforming slackers and the coasters that have been bleeding the company for years now that several "AI" companies are after them.

It won't be surprising, but they will either wait for other large companies like Amazon to follow Meta into laying offs or Google will do it later, eventually.


Good. It's become trash. I wonder how long it will take to lose overall dominance and if it will cause a rethink on their part.
