I tried to buy an M1 Max from Amazon Renewed but my purchase was rejected since my credit limit on Amazon Prime Card was low. I got an email and was told if I want to further pursue, I should change my card from the Amazon card. I wanted to buy from Renewed as I could split the payment into instalments and accordingly afford.
Well, an hour later I get another email that my other credit card has been charged WITHOUT my authorisation for the machine.
I called Amazon to let them know that I want a refund but they refused and said that the seller CAN refund. Now I am a student, and this a massive charge.
On top of that, a customer care supervisor shut down the phone on me. Has anyone been in a similar position? This is eerily like the same Adobe BS I had to go through a couple of years back.
No, it is not common for helpdesk and case management to close a call. You probably will struggle to get Amazon to take that seriously but in the real world, this is not acceptable and a good player has a path to complain about this, which means call logs get looked into. I don't think it will happen here.
