I stopped using ChatGPT because even though it’s faster I find its answers and ability to do tasks very unreliable. For instance I had a series of references I wanted it to quickly MLA format. It deleted 10/100 then made up 10 real sounding ones. If it can’t help with formatting then I can’t trust it with bigger tasks.

I use DeepSeek both locally and online more frequently and find it more trustworthy but it still frequently makes things up. Maybe because it’s Chinese I’ve found it better at translation and somewhat more nuanced.
