I understand where you're coming from. From the perspective of someone with no knowledge of Swedish that's a clear distinction.

From my perspective as a Swede, however, making it sound Swedish is the same as making it sound Ikea-ish. Because Ikea products all have names which are either Swedish words or typical Swedish names.



I am French and our language is also often abused for fun. I find it funny as well and I am actually quite glad that it makes it on the meme-o-meter because it means it is popular.

You rarely hear fun things about, say, Finnish.
