I have a cousin of this rig, the Chevy s-10 EV that I'm performing a similar retrofit on. The s-10 EV community are not big fans of anything other than restoring to exact original condition, but by the time these vehicles get this old you have to have really specialist knowledge of the original hardware to even approach repairing it.
