This is not only in medical science, but apparently archaeogy too. (Anecdote alert) A very close friend took part in a dig by a very well known professor. Artifacts that were found that disproved the professor's theories were destroyed before my friend's eyes.

It really makes you wonder what percentage of what we "know" is true.

Pics or it didn't happen. And if there aren't pics, everyone along on the dig must have been lacking integrity.
