Mensa (top 2% on intelligence test) have a demographic of high-ability non-achievers. Bookstore employees, lab assistants etc. Rarely the boss.

Surely it's Mensa membership that correlates with low achievement, not scoring well on IQ tests per se.

That's the primary reason I didn't join their party. They seem to think that the mere possession of intelligence is something noteworthy.
I might as well join an organization of naturally brown-haired people.
