I played Myst on my second pc, on Windows 98. It was an amazing experience, even if I never finished it.

I re-played on the Nintendo Switch, and it was again amazing (I managed to finish it this time).

Never played any of the sequels, so I hope Riven makes it to Switch too


My conclusion is that LAION is built using model upon model upon model; so each error propagates and the resulting dataset is kinda shitty.

But "we" made amazing stuff out of LAION.

So: the next person who can curate a high-quality big dataset is gonna make a fortune

"The Codebreakers" is an incredible book. One of the books I would save during a fire.


Given the default life expectancy of 65, I am at almost 50%.

I agree in line of principle, everything that was officially released should be preserved.

But "accuracy" is the wrong word I think, old home video transfers are not more representative of the original theatrical presentation just because they came out first
