My dogs will eat them if they get hit. It's not a problem.

All IoT devices on my network go into a VLAN that blocks internet access. Using Unifi, I think it's just a checkbox to turn internet access on/off. I use a virtual nic on my Home Assistant VM that recognizes that vlan and can communicate with all those devices, as well as a separate nic which is hooked up to the main vlan.

>>> check off boxes for password requirements, and you only show errors after they’ve touched it once

I don’t get it. This is super easy w htmx.

This is the most ungrateful comment I've read today, harping away about how 'it should have been done'.

Well you fucking do it then.

I know that my time is so short (because I have a family) that if I can even do a project then I'm almost certainly not going to document it because getting it done will be enough of a stretch for me, and if I need to come back and re-do it again, I am probably not going to even bother. Not all of us live in mom's basement and have the luxury of extra time.

It was not ungrateful.

It was a general suggestion for everyone doing hardware projects and OP did a lookup and provided the additional info / links, which sparked further discussions.

Chill.

He did 'do it', and saved us all the 10-15minutes it took.

  > Well you fucking do it then.
I did

  > I know that my time is so short
My argument was to do this BECAUSE your time is short. Helping others is the side benefit. There are completely selfish reasons to document. It's more important to document when your time is short and more when it gets interrupted. Unless you have a perfect memory, write it down. Not all of us have the luxury to continually work on a project to maintain context continuously.

I did some I.T. work for an owner of a funeral home in my town (~ 20,000 people) about a year ago. He said that after the roll out of the shots, and specifically not directly after Covid, but after the shots, people starting coming in with unbelievable blood clots when he cleaned them out the likes of which he had never seen before in his > 30 years in business. Go talk to a mortician in your own town and find out for yourself.

My dad's a mortician. This is BS.

Ok well maybe my guy is full of shit but this is what he told me.

>> sending a "SYN" packet in both directions at once.

Might be a totally dumb question but how does this work? Wouldn’t you already have to have communication to set a time?

That's why protocols like this have what Wormhole calls a "mailbox server", which allows two ends separated by firewalls to do secure key exchange and agree upon a method for punching through directly. See also STUN: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STUN

And for states that do not require a permit? This law is clearly unconstitutional and should be abolished. It clearly states 'shall not be infringed' in the 2nd amendment. The founders had just fought a war of liberation, and were aimed at empowering the people to be safe against tyranny.

Nice. Similar to asitop, but looks a little more feature full.

Nice. I’ve been building something similar in php. But then you have to have a web server to run it. And it uses yt-dlp, so you also often have to make sure that is up to date before you run it.

* in the address bar (that is: 'star' 'space') will put you in bookmark search. I use tags prolifically and can search for keywords here and it works pretty well.

I guess I was not clear - what I do in the bookmarks manager is go into a folder, and select and open them in groups of 20 or so, then delete them as bookmarks. So bookmarks are sort of like "tab cold storage" for me. So for me tagging them would be wasted work since they will eventually be deleted regardless. I also do use bookmarks for the awesomebar but it is mainly so they are prioritized in normal autocomplete.
